It wasn't pretty, it wasn't exactly a classic, but they will take it. The Larry O' Brien Trophy was decided today in a nail-biter of a game with the Los Angeles Lakers defeating the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals. The entire world waited for Kobe Bryant to put on a signature game to stamp his legacy, but it never happened. Instead it was Queensbridge's own Ron Artest who put the Lakers on his back with key defensive stops to couple with big time buckets to bring the Lakers back after trailing most of the game. Rasheed Wallace filled in admirably for an injured Kendrick Perkins by playing great defense on Pau Gasol and hitting fadeaway after fadeaway.
The Lakers win their first back-to-back championship since the Shaq-Kobe era Lakers in the beginning of the 00s.
Kobe Bryant was given the Bill Russell Trophy as the NBA Finals' Most Valuable Player
