HENRY ... off the hook

 HENRY ... off the hook
THIERRY HENRY is in the clear over France's World Cup finals revolt.
French FA bosses last night agreed the Arsenal legend was not to blame, despite him having been named as one of the mutiny's ringleaders. Barcelona's Henry yesterday met French president Nicolas Sarkozy to discuss the chaos that saw Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka sent home in disgrace. Anelka allegedly insulted manager Raymond Domenech at half-time of Les Bleus' 2-0 defeat to Mexico, saying "F*** you, you son of a whore". The French squad refused to train last Sunday and fears grew some of them might boycott Tuesday's game with South Africa, which ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts. Henri Monteil, French football federation secretary, originally insisted: "The leaders are players who'll never play in a World Cup again. "Who? William Gallas, Eric Abidal and Thierry Henry, who is friends with Anelka." But Monteil is now thought to have cleared Henry, while Sarkozy and French Prime Minister Francois Fillon will hold crisis talks to review events that led to the 1998 winners and 2006 runners-up finishing BOTTOM of Group A. Skipper Patrice Evra, dropped for the South Africa game, insists he will fully detail the reasons behind France's disastrous campaign. The Manchester United left-back, 29, said: "I'll call a Press conference this week. The French people need to know the truth because the team belongs to them."
